Growth Beyond the Mat


Have you been attending random studio classes, and noticed little physical progression? Perhaps you have heard it said that Yoga is so much more than movement, and you want to know how. Maybe you are looking to cultivate a practice that will change your life.

If this sounds familiar, you’re in the right place. As a student, I attended thousands of group classes. Whilst the sense of community was beautiful, and the collective movement was hypnotic, I began to feel that there was more to Yoga that could be understood and practised in 60 minute weekly group lessons.

Here at The Mind Garden, we believe that every individual deserves personalised guidance in order to surpass their goals. You too, can understand, and harness the true potential of Yoga with the right guidance.

  • What does ‘Take Yoga Off of the Mat mean?’ Perhaps you have heard your teachers mention that Yoga goes so much further than the studio? Or maybe you have gotten to a place with your physical practise where you feel there must be more?

    By working together more privately, we will refine which Yogic techniques you could apply outside of classes to help you to begin see the beautiful benefits of a Yogic lifestyle in your day to day.

  • A group class can be an intimidating place if you are new to Asana (the physical movements that we associate with Yoga).

    Together, we can privately build a solid foundation to your practice, working on asana (Yoga postures), pranayama (breath work) and simple meditation techniques that will make you feel more at home in the studio, and in your own body.

  • Are you an intermediate student with certain postures in mind? Perhaps you are aiming for the splits, lotus pose, or headstand?

    Your growth plan will be tailored to your specific goals. Along with weekly 1-1 classes, you will be provided with bespoke drills that will strengthen and deepen flexibility in targeted areas.

    We will break down advanced asanas, exploring their bodily components, to make them more approachable, with practise and consistency.

  • Asana (or the physical movement that we often practise in yoga classes) is fantastic for strengthening the body and creating flexibility. For some, this is where Yoga stops. However, with the right guidance, and by building in pranayama (breath work) and meditation, true Yoga can completely change your life.

    Meditation is scientifically proven to increase your resilience to stress. With consistent practice, it will sharpen your mind and and improve your relationships.

    Along with asana, we could focus on creating a personalised meditation plan that will allow you to build a regular, and life changing habit.

Trial Sessions

Before committing to a growth plan, it would be wonderful to practise together in a trial session. This way, we can both ensure that we are a good fit, and you can discover if I am the right teacher for your journey.

Trial sessions include a meet and greet to discuss your goals, and a 60 minute flow class that helps me to understand the nature of your current practice.
